AestheFill is an FDA-approved hydrogel with pronounced corrective features. By supporting the production of collagen and other elements of the intercellular matrix, AestheFill works primarily as a bio-stimulatory filler.
The basis of AestheFilll is a well-researched medical formula — polylactic acid. As a self-dissolving suture material, polylactic acid has been used for over two decades.
With proven efficiency in surgical sutures and pins, polylactic acid has also been beneficial in aesthetic medicine, primarily for collagen stimulation on depressed areas of the skin and skin that have shown flabbiness.
Because it is a fully biodegradable, biocompatible, hypoallergenic material, polylactic acid is an excellent choice for corrective skin treatments.
The natural skin regeneration process usually gets slower over the years. The AestheFill’s polylactide particles combat this issue with immediate tissue renewal and collagen formation.
After the injection, AestheFill stimulates the regeneration, resulting in full-volume replenishment and smoothing of the deep wrinkles. The following areas and issues can be corrected with the AestheFill application:
The polymerization of corn or potato starch yields thermoplastic and biodegradable polylactic acid particles, which are AestheFill’s main ingredient. Gel biodegradation happens independently after some time and can be extracted without surgical intervention.
Through hydrolysis, polylactide gets gradually broken down into lactic acid and glycogen and excreted in the form of carbon dioxide and water.
Lactic acid’s primary role is to signal different injuries and stimulate further collagen generation, resulting in complete cell regeneration and the restoration of the lost tissue volume. Hyaluronic acid production in mature skin is also promoted, as well as in the connective tissues.
The most distinctive feature of this product is that after the product gets disintegrated and eliminated, usually after 3 to 4 months, new collagen gets formed in the agent’s place. This ensures a prolonged effect that lasts over a year.
After the consultation, review of the medical history, and examination of the problem areas, patients should be informed on how to prepare for the treatment. Advise them to drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol, sweets, and salty food, and reduce physical activity for three days before the procedure.
To start the procedure, first, clean the skin by removing the excess sebum removed and apply the antiseptic solution. Apply the filler gel at different dermis levels and massage the injection area lightly to ensure the even distribution of the product.
Results can be seen immediately after the procedure, and patients can expect them to build up within three months. The effects of the treatment can last between 12 and 36 months.
The recommended course of treatment is three treatments two to four months apart.
AestheFill treatment solves three main issues: maintaining the skin’s natural tone, replenishing volume in degraded areas, and stimulating the emergence of new cellular tissues and the production of collagen fibers.
The advantages of solving these problems with AestheFill are the following:
AestheFill treatment has no side effects except minor swelling and bruising, which may occur right after the treatment but go away within a few days.
Treatment aftercare doesn’t require a complicated skin care regimen. Patients should be advised not to touch the injection site and to refrain from using cosmetics, sauna, tanning bed, and swimming pool. Sudden temperature changes should also be avoided.
