Poly-L-Lactic Acid is a fully re-absorbable and biocompatible component. The suture(s) are made of polylactic acid which gradually dissolves, leaving behind natural collagen growth. The bi-directional cones on each side of the suture, are made up of a mixture of lactic and glycolic acids.
The cones help to keep the suture threads in place. The threads work by stimulating the patient’s collagen into production, a process called neocollagenesis. The suture material will dissolve gradually.

This product is used to correct early signs of aging such as light sagging. In skin that does not have severe sagging, the suture(s) offer an alternative to a surgical facelift as they lift and tighten the skin.
Silhouette Soft is a medical procedure that involves the insertion of suture threads under the skin, to a depth of five millimetres. First, a small amount of local anaesthetic is administered.
The threads are inserted into the subcutaneous layer of the skin by using a fine needle, through an entry point. The patient will have entry/exit points for the needle in the targeted area.e, this is to enable the insertion of the thread in each half, appropriate to the orientation of the cones.
