HYALGAN® is a solution that contains a natural substance called hyaluronate. This substance is normally found in the fluid that lubricates and cushions the knee joint. HYALGAN® is indicated for patients with osteoarthritis knee pain who do not obtain adequate relief from simple painkillers,
(Tylenol® or Advil®), or from exercise and physical therapy.

How do I use This Treatment?

Hyalgan® should be administered into the synovial space of the knee. The treatment consists of a three to five injection series that is meant to be administered at weekly interviews so that the patients will be able to experience osteoarthritis relief that will last for up to six months.

When should I use It?

Hyalgan® is used to treat patients, who are suffering from osteoarthritis to get them relief from the extreme pain. It works well for patients, who have tried other ways to get themselves treated, but couldn’t successfully get rid of the pain that they feel from their knee joints. It can be used in patients, who are already using prescription pain relievers. It will help patients, who have felt swelling, stiffness, pain and inflammation in their knee joint area.

How long do Results last?

Hyalgan® is injected once a week for three to five weeks. The product is expected to last for six months.
